How to approach foreign cultures in your home country? How significant are language barriers and prejudices towards strangers?
Over a period of some months, I went to a mosque in Bielefeld/Germany, curious how I would integrate and how people would react to my presence. So I listened to their stories, sometimes understanding them, sometimes not, just being there with some tea, watching regular life, feeling forced relaxation once a day watching them praying, learning that integration mostly is about you, not the others.
This series circles my experiences, an awe mixture of closeness and distance.
